Prison Alley "Welcome to the Big House"
We recently discovered a coffee we love from a small farm in the Mt Elgon region of the Uganda/Kenya border. Grown at a high altitude in fertile, volcanic soil, this coffee has an interesting flavor profile of with notes of caramel, cocoa, cherry and citrus.
Prison Alley is one of a handful of alleys that tell the backstreet stories of Hudson New York. This alley runs behind the Roast Room adjacent to our Cafe. Prison Alley is most famously noted for the local Jail House for those that ran afoul of the law.
Our tagline, "Welcome to the Big House" describes not only the boldness of this brew but gives a serious nod to those who helped define the unique character of the town!
